Betty’s update
My car has been totaled and I will be getting my new Infinity. For that I am very grateful, but I can’t drive yet. I had surgery on my left hand three weeks ago adding 3 pins in my bones. It has been more painful than I thought. With the cast, I have had one pin removed and are scheduled to have the other two removed next week. So hopefully the pain will disappear? Therapy will be next to get these fingers working again.

I have graduated from the big clumsy boot on my left foot to a brace and treated myself to a new pair of tennis shoes that are black but supportive but still are not very classy! My right big toe is not healing straight but we will deal with that later since it is not causing me pain.

We have been very busy and I have been productive with the new program called Dragon Dictation Naturally Speaking. It is very cool, typing what I say. It can’t always figure out my Texas slang, but I’m teaching it. It is much better than hand picking with one finger and looking up to see that my whole row is typed in CAPS and I have to start all over again. So I am really enjoying this technology! “You just can’t keep a good guy down!”
