No Picnic this Year

It is almost October which should be cooler weather and time for our fall picnic but the Lord seems to send me something on both years that would make it a burden to put the picnic together, so we will not have one for 2011.  It has been so hot, James and I have not been able to enjoy our little retreat until some of the cooler weekends lately and it has been lovely.  I still have green on the trees as you can see, but my grass is white.  James has tried to keep the plants and shrubs he planted alive and the grass around the RV with watering on the weekend but looks like New Hope is putting a stop to that as well.  We have a big bonfire piled up as well but can’t burn it so it will just get bigger, I guess.  We are losing branches and in fact, there are lots of leaves that have fallen already since most of the trees are in survival mode .  We won’t know how many trees are actually dead until next spring I am sure.
